Autumn Equinox 2024

Our usual event has taken a new twist...

Come and join us during the day of Saturday 21st September to celebrate the Autumn Equinox and the time of harvest.

We envisage the day unfolding in the following way:

1. 10.30am-12noon: normal Saturday Dance Journey (Identity Theme) - £15, booking essential via website
2. 12noon-5pm: Relaxed community sharing space around the fire circle - FREE, no need to book
3. 5pm-9pm: Extended Dance Journey Dance - £45, booking essential through this event page

Why Dance into the Autumn Equinox?

At this moment we reach a significant point of balance as the world all over experiences the same amount of lightness and darkness; the earth is in a moment of balance as the axis shifts!

As we approach this time of moving from the lighter half of the year into the darker half, it can really help us adjust by intentially valuing the transition and give ourselves space to directly acknowledge the movement and moment of change.

For this extended dance evening we will be spending longer in the dance - in the trance - than we usually do in our weekly sessions. The dance journeys will be held inside but the afternoon gathering will allow for time to share and reflect our experiences within the community of what dance means to us and how it has extended into our lives. 

The afternoon sharing space will not necessarily be a directed space - you are welcome to come and go during the afternoon but we may also include other activities to dip into and enjoy...

Come by yourself or with a friend; all are welcome and, as usual, no dance experience is necessary.   

What to bring? IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ:

- Comfortable and weather appropriate clothing

- Extra blankets and / or a cushion / small chair or stool to sit on round the fire. There are a few benches available.

- Money, card payment or Ringo App for car parking.

- A journal or notepad if you wish to make reflections

- A packed tea for yourself and a mug. We will provide herbal teas and light refreshments and there is a cafe onsite - open until 4.30pm.

- Comfortable shoes if you do not want to dance barefoot.

- Something to add to the alters if you wish.

- Yourself - and a desire to move!

Tickets are £45 (plus booking fee if paying by card)

How to Pay:

There is the option to pay via card, BACS or cash for this event.

Please choose 'Offline Payment' at the checkout if you wish to pay by either BACS or cash.

IMPORTANT - Offline payments are required at the time of booking - please simply wait for your confirmation booking email with BACS details and then pay immediately.

Please note that tickets to any of our events are non-refundable. Please refer to your ticket for our cancellation policy.
